ERASMUS+ Module “Fundamentals of Circular Economy & Sustainable Development”

On March 24 🗓, the third module of the Erasmus+ ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE “Developing Innovative Curricula and Modules in Circular Economy and Sustainable Development – CirculEC” project kicked off at the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (Faculty of Economic Science and Business) in Spain 📍.
D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU) is the proud grant holder, coordinating the participation of partner universities from Central Asia and the European Union. Representing EKTU is Board Member, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, and National Higher Education Reform Expert (HERE) Z.T. Konurbaeva. This module marks a significant milestone in capacity building, ultimately resulting in course content that each institution will integrate into its curriculum.
Renowned scholar Professor Xavier Vence, the project coordinator at USC, opened the session with a presentation on the fundamentals of circular economy and sustainability—covering key concepts, benefits, and strategies for a successful transition, along with practical examples across various sectors.
