Development of innovative curricula and modules in Circular Economy and Sustainable Development

On 28 September 2026, a working meeting of the Erasmus+ CirculEC project team was held at the Tajik State University of Commerce (TSUC) to discuss the results achieved and the next steps for integrating the project outcomes into the university’s educational process.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the updated and newly developed courses introduced into TSUC educational programmes within the framework of the project. Particular attention was paid to reviewing the competencies defined for these courses and assessing their alignment with current labour market requirements. The participants also discussed the results of cooperation with employers and considered their recommendations in further improving course content and defining the professional competencies that graduates are expected to acquire.

This approach contributes to strengthening the link between the educational process, labour market needs, and contemporary requirements for the training of specialists in economics, entrepreneurship and sustainable development.

The TSUC project coordinator, Professor of the Department of Economic Theory and Business, Zarrina Kadyrova, informed the participants about the results of the project’s final coordination meeting, held on 10–12 September 2026 at the University of Naples Federico II (Italy). During the meeting, coordinators and representatives of partner universities presented the results of project implementation and the final reports, and discussed the further use and dissemination of the project outcomes.

An important part of the programme was a training session organised by colleagues from the University of Naples, focusing on territorial development, sustainable urban planning and the regeneration of former industrial areas. Representatives of TSUC participated in the event online.

Particular attention during the working meeting was also given to the sustainability of the project results after the end of the project funding period. Zarrina Kadyrova noted that TSUC will continue to be responsible for maintaining and providing information support for the official CirculEC project website. All necessary updates to the website have been completed.

Following the completion of the project, the website will continue to serve as an information platform for disseminating the results of CirculEC, publishing materials related to the updated educational programmes, and sharing information about further activities of TSUC and other partners related to the use and further development of the project outcomes.

Thus, the work within CirculEC does not end with the completion of the project period. The next stage will focus on embedding the achieved results into educational practice, further disseminating them, strengthening cooperation with employers and partner universities, and ensuring the sustainability of the initiatives developed within the project.
