Eco-friendly practices in industrial conditions
On October 10, 2024, the Alikhan Bokeikhan University delegation visited the National Nuclear Technology Park in Kurchatov (Kazakhstan) to explore cutting-edge innovations!
As part of the ERASMUS+ CirculEC Project dissemination, we toured facilities for processing secondary raw materials into B2B components for industries such as oil, metallurgy, energy, and agriculture. During an informative session held on-site, we gained valuable insights into eco-friendly practices in industrial conditions.
A groundbreaking project by the Park focuses on recycling medical waste! Traditionally incinerated at high costs, these large volumes can now be sterilized without burning, using the on-site nuclear accelerator. This process allows the waste to be safely reused, presenting incredible opportunities:
1. Turning waste into resources: Medical waste becomes a valuable input for the Park.
2. Detailed sorting: The Park offers containers for separate collection, streamlining sorting efforts and reducing labor.
3. Sustainable profit: The Park can not only process the waste using government budgets but also sell the recycled materials.
The real win? This project could significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to a cleaner, greener future!
